Our Micro WorkCell series is a compact and high precision machine for placement and bonding. The stiffness of axes design with integrated machine vision achieves ±1 µm placement accuracy required in a wide variety of micro assembly operations.

High Stiffness
Motion axes incorporating the latest in bearing and ball-screw design eliminate backlash and tolerance stack-up.Component design is based on analysis of the relationship of stresses to the drive mechanisms. With this approach,effects of external forces are distributed equally to the total machine making conventional anti-vibration devices such as stone weights or air dampers unnecessary.
 
Low Pressure Control
FCU.gif Our unique force control unit is mounted on a floating structure, which minimizes stress on parts to only a few grams of pressure. Temperature and pressure inside the air cylinder remains unchanged and invariable even when the temperature of the chuck holding the part rises during heat application. This design provides stable and reliable part handling and placement with negligible force.
 
Vision Servo System
Our unique vision servo system can recognize placement target and part features simultaneously during the placement process, which realizes ±1µm placement accuracy. The figure shows the system automatically compensating for the gap recognized between edge of the die and the alignment mark of the substrate just before the die is placed, thus properly aligning the die to the substrate.
 
Modularization
Combining option kits, the Micro WorkCell can be customized to your requirements. Refer to option chart for more details.
